Liel Ran is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Office of DoControl. Liel brings 10 years of experience in large-scale system architecture design, multi-cloud engineering, DevOps, and technical leadership. Prior to founding DoControl, Liel was a Software and Cloud Architect at Amenity Analytics, where he led software architecture design for multiple large-scale and big data applications, as well as migration from legacy systems to cloud-native application based on microservices and serverless technologies.
Before Amenity Analytics, Liel was a Technical Lead and the first engineering hire at Hibob, where he led engineering design and implementation for building a SaaS product and scaling the user base from 0 to 100K monthly. In addition, Liel led Hibob’s AWS migration to meet compliance requirements, such as GDPR, SOC, and ISO. Before Hibob, Liel was a team leader at Kenshoo, where he led the company-effort to migrate from on-prem to AWS, building cloud applications and implementation of 500 CI/CD pipelines used by 250 engineers daily.
Liel likes to learn new technologies and attend tech conferences. He loves to travel with his two sons and wife, and loves practicing guitar. Liel holds a B.S in Computer Science from the Academic College of Tel-Aviv Yafo.
On April 12th, GitHub announced they had uncovered evidence of an attacker abusing stolen OAuth user tokens to download data from dozens of their customers. The applications maintained by the compromised platform service providers, Heroku and Travis-CI, were used by GitHub users, which makes this breach a new addition to the growing list of recent attacks that utilized unauthorized access to target suppliers' systems.
