We are excited to announce that Kobi Afoota, former CISO at Kornit Digital (NASDAQ: KRNT), has joined DoControl as Head of Information Security. At DoControl, Kobi will be responsible for leading security and risk management initiatives, application security, and compliance readiness.
Kobi brings almost 20 years of information security experience spanning publicly traded companies and SaaS startups. Before Kornit Digital, Kobi led information security for Bob, a leading HR SaaS platform.
“SaaS adoption is exploding, and so is the need for SaaS security,” said Adam Gavish, Co-Founder and CEO of DoControl. “Our customers put their trust in DoControl to protect their sensitive data and it is our duty to fulfill that promise. We have been heavily invested in our security, privacy, & compliance program since day 1 and now Kobi will take this to the whole new level”.
Kobi is a hands-on security leader who has already built out multiple complex security programs covering cloud infrastructure, endpoint security, identity management, and more. Kobi specializes in data security and privacy in correlation with GDPR and CCPA regulations.
“Organizations have fully adopted IDP and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions to embrace the Zero Trust architecture in the identity, network, and device layers.” said Kobi Afoota, Head of Information Security at DoControl. “In reality, SaaS data access remains overexposed and unmanageable at any scale, dramatically increasing the likelihood of data leakages. I’m excited to join DoControl and help organizations extend their Zero Trust architectures into the SaaS data layer with a simple, scalable, and agent-less solution.”
This stat comes from the industry report we published earlier this year: The Immense Risk of Unmanaged SaaS Data Access. It’s a great read. We recommend you check it out.
