DoControl Wins Prestigious SINET16 Innovator Award

DoControl Wins Prestigious SINET16 Innovator Award

Each year, SINET evaluates the technologies and products of hundreds of emerging cybersecurity companies to identify the next-generation of solutions that best address today’s security challenges. As an emerging security vendor in the SaaS market, we are thrilled to have been selected from a pool of nearly 200 applications, across 18 different countries. There were two exhaustive rounds of evaluation by the SINET judging committee – which included over 100 security industry experts – to validate the most innovative solutions in the market for the year 2022.

The SINET16 Innovator award itself is very much a prestigious honor, and it is widely recognized and valued within the cybersecurity industry. Previous winners include household names such as CrowdStrike, FireEye, Aqua, BigID, among many others. Since day 1 we have been hyper focused on delivering foundational SaaS controls to secure modern environments. All cloud technologies have a shared responsibility when it comes to security, and we are committed to partnering with modern businesses to uphold their end of this model. We’ve set out to solve for one of the most significant security challenges in utilizing SaaS applications: protecting the sensitive data within business-critical apps.

To quote Paul "Bear" Bryant, one of the most decorated college football coaches in history:

"It's not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters.

Preparedness and innovation are woven into the fabric of all that we do. There are a number of different technology providers in the market, all trying to solve a number of different security challenges. It's a crowded market. You have to differentiate or you won't survive. Innovation is what often drives differentiation.

The problem of SaaS data exposure has been around for a bit of time, but the way we tackle it is where our innovation comes into the fold.  Most organizations have a high number of SaaS applications, an even higher number of identities (internal users and external collaborators), and an even higher number of data that exists throughout this decentralized ecosystem. This quickly becomes a problem at scale. Attempting to tackle it manually (i.e. relying on native security tooling within each app) or with traditional alternatives is not effective.

Security providers cannot slow down the business. DoControl finds the right balance by having full insight into both the content and the context of the entire SaaS estate. Every user, asset, group, domain, group, and 3rd party app becomes extracted and exposed to provide a holistic view on the environment. We are able to achieve this as our platform is 100% event driven – powered by APIs and webhooks. DoControl is a web application with no agents, no inline redirections and no slow API response times which are often associated with traditional CASB solutions. With every event now exposed, security teams can create secure data access control policies (we call them Security Workflows) to protect sensitive data and files.

Security Workflow creation is all done on a low-code, no-code canvas where every element within a workflow (i.e. triggering event, conditional looping, notification, remediation, etc.) is dragged and dropped in place to streamline the creation of data access control policies. What differentiates DoControl from the rest of the market is the automated remediation that we enable through our Security Workflows. The event-driven nature of our platform allows for endless use cases to be addressed within the most complex SaaS environments. We also recognize the significant shortage in security professionals. So,we made it easy for security teams to create policies that address the use cases that are unique to their security program requirements.

One critical piece of the evaluation criteria for SINET16 was “to provide specific business plans describing future growth.” The DoControl SaaS Security Platform started with solving the hardest problem in SaaS, first. As we continue our ability to innovate and execute, we will extend our platform offering to cover additional security challenges within the SaaS domain. In closing we again are super thrilled and humbled to have received this award, and a big congratulations to all the other 2022 SINET16 Innovator Awards Winners

Onwards and upwards.
