2025 challenged the SaaS security world, and we met it head on.
We focused on solving real SaaS security problems: addressing data exposure and insider risk while delivering market-driven features that give teams the clarity, context, and confidence to detect, stop, and control risk.
Every milestone was powered by the trust of our customers and partners. Thank you for working with us to push SaaS data security forward. We share these achievements with you!
1. Expanded our Data Security Capabilities Through a State-of-the-Art Classification Engine
We introduced our most powerful DLP enhancement to date with a unified, scalable Data Scan Workflow - designed to go far beyond traditional PII and regex-based detection. Built for security teams that need clarity and control, this capability reduces noise while delivering precise, actionable insight.
The Data Scan workflow expands coverage to more than +200 data classifiers, enabling detection of secrets, financial data, PHI, intellectual property, and more. We added intelligent match context, an AI-powered classification engine, and more.
Each of these advancements reinforced our commitment to delivering meaningful value - giving customers the visibility, control, and confidence they need to secure their SaaS environments.
2. Introduced Shadow AI Discovery and Governance Capabilities to Support Growing Market Needs
As AI adoption accelerated across enterprises, so did the risks associated with unsanctioned and unmanaged AI usage. To address this challenge, we introduced Shadow AI discovery & governance capabilities designed to surface hidden AI tools and workflows across the organization.
Within our Shadow AI module, customers can now see which AI applications are connected to their environment, who added them, and the risks they pose - along with tailored recommendations for remediation. Users can take action immediately by restricting or removing access as needed, gaining full visibility and control over all AI applications without slowing innovation.
These capabilities give security and compliance teams the confidence to safely enable AI adoption while maintaining strong data protection, governance, and regulatory compliance.
3. Accelerated Strategic Partnerships Across the Security Ecosystem
We deepened our partnerships with leading security resellers and Google partners. Our partners - SADA, Pythian, Revology, Optiv, Defy, Sentra, and others - enable us to better support customers operating in complex, multi-vendor SaaS environments.
On the security side, these integrations enable a more complete and unified view of SaaS data security. In parallel, our Google partnerships help customers navigate the unique complexities of securing Google Workspace at scale.
Together, these integrations enable seamless (and secure) data sharing, streamlined workflows, and stronger end-to-end security outcomes. By expanding our partner ecosystem, we help organizations maximize the value of their existing security investments, while extending data protection across the platforms they rely on most.
4. Launched Agentic Alerts to Elevate Insider Risk Detection and Response
Insider risk remains one of the most challenging security threats to detect and manage. To address this, we took our alerting mechanism one step further, and made it seamless to create any type of alert that fits any type of organization or team.
Our agentic alerts module leverages intelligent automation to identify suspicious behavior and prioritize high-risk signals. They provide rich contextual insight and detection - enabling security teams to accurately assess risk, prioritize what matters most, and respond faster and more confidently to insider threats before incidents escalate.
5. Expanded Misconfigurations Coverage by Launching 200+ Misconfiguration Apps & Controls within our SSPM
Misconfigurations were one of the leading causes of SaaS data exposure throughout 2025. Some of the most notorious cases were the Scale AI incident, where a simple misconfigured Google Drive link exposed confidential customer data, top-secret AI training manuals, employee PII, and more. Another incident was the Tea App breach, where a single misconfiguration exposed over 72,000 customer images and 1.1M confidential conversations.
In response to industry events, and in recognizing the need for an expanded offering among our customers, we significantly expanded our SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform, launching more than +200 new misconfiguration apps and controls.
We also introduced Configuration Drift capabilities purpose-built for modern, fast-changing environments - providing DoControl customers a centralized, single-pane-of-glass view to surface data exposure, compliance gaps, and configuration changes across their SaaS stack.
By combining broad SaaS coverage, built-in compliance frameworks, and AI-powered customization, we enabled security teams to detect and remediate risk in real time, align instantly with the standards that matter most, and stay ahead of issues before they could be exploited.
6. Introduced a Self-Serve Free Risk Assessment for Organizations to Quantify Risk at Their Own Pace
Today’s security leaders face a paradox: they’re accountable for protecting data they often can’t see. Most organizations don’t even know how much SaaS risk they’re carrying.
That’s why DoControl launched a fully Self-Serve Free Risk Assessment that reveals SaaS data exposure on your terms - at your own pace, on your own time, and without sales getting involved.
Our goal was to give organizations an objective way to evaluate risk without engaging a vendor or entering a sales cycle. By removing bias from the process, teams can accurately assess their environment and determine whether SaaS data risk is something they need to address today, not next week, next quarter, or next year.
7. Recognized as a Market Leader by Leading Industry Analysts
Our continued innovation in SaaS data security was recognized by top industry analyst firms including Gartner, Frost & Sullivan, QKS, and GigaOm. These recognitions validate our vision and leadership in a market that demands constant innovation and best-in-class security.
More importantly, they reinforce the trust our customers place in us to protect their most sensitive data in an increasingly complex threat landscape. These acknowledgments reflect the dedication and hard work our team brings every day to deliver the most comprehensive SaaS data security platform on the market.
8. Established a Customer Advisory Board With Industry Leaders
To ensure our company, strategy, and product continuously reflects (and surpasses) real-world needs, we launched our Customer Advisory Board (CAB) composed of market-leading security leaders across a broad range of industries - including Databricks, Zscaler, Monday.com, MoonPay, Deel, EQT Group, Digital Ocean, Vox Media, Beyond Finance, and more.
The CAB serves as a strategic forum for ongoing dialogue around what the market needs, what's needed in a solution today to solve those needs, and how DoControl can best deliver value to the SaaS security market.
The insights we gain from our CAB directly shape our innovation agenda, steer our market direction, and help us refine our strategy - all with this end goal in mind: deliver capabilities that address today’s challenges AND anticipate tomorrow’s risks.
9. Launched Our AI Assistant, Dot, to Accelerate Adoption and Risk Coverage
We introduced Dot, the first-ever AI assistant purpose-built for SaaS data security. Powered by DoControl’s deep security intelligence, Dot gives security teams real-time exposure-risk insights across platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Salesforce, and more - simply by asking a question.
Dot lets teams ask security questions in natural language, and surfaces only what matters. It prioritizes sensitive data exposures, flags unusual access patterns, and summarizes trends - giving customers true clarity they can act on, surfaced in seconds.
10. Built an Internal AI System to Optimize Product Performance
Behind the scenes, we developed an internal AI system to continuously triage signals and optimize platform performance. This system helps our teams identify inefficiencies, prioritize improvements, and scale more effectively for our customers.
DoControl made it a focus this year to yes - incorporate AI - but to do so in a meaningful way; one that will truly make a difference in the way we work, the way we deliver value to our customers, and the way we influence the broader market as a whole.
Thank You
As we look back on the progress we made this year, one thing is clear: each achievement was driven by a relentless focus on solving real-world SaaS security challenges and delivering meaningful value to our customers.
From expanding data protection and governance capabilities, to deepening ecosystem partnerships, and accelerating innovation with AI, every milestone reflects our commitment to helping organizations gain clarity, reduce SaaS risk, and take back control of their environment with confidence - all while enabling their business.
As we step into the new year, we’re building on this momentum with an even sharper focus on innovation, scale, and customer impact - continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in SaaS data security, and setting the stage for an even stronger 2026!
